Tummy Tuck Cosmetic Surgery - An Overview

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Dr._Robert_Backstein] Dr. Robert Backstein Tummy Tuck or Liposuction - Which Cosmetic Surgery Is Right For Me? A common misconception amongst patients considering cosmetic surgery of the abdominal area is that the choice exists to have either a tummy tuck or liposuction and that either of these two procedures will produce similar results. In most cases, a patient is a far better candidate for either a tummy tuck or liposuction and the procedures are not interchangeable. The decision as to which plastic surgery procedure is best must be made in conjunction with a qualified plastic surgeon but the following is a general guideline: Typically, patients whose abdominal area has loose excess skin, or significant stretch marks will need a tummy tuck and will not benefit from liposuction alone. This is because liposuction is a procedure that only removes fat. Skin is esentially unaffected. Therefore if there is substantial loose skin or stretch marks to start with, liposuction will not remove any of the extra skin or any of the stretch mark-bearing skin. Furthermore, liposuction in these circumstances can actually worsen the problem by removing the "foundation" on which the skin rests, i.e. the underlying fat thereby leaving even looser skin than the patient started with. Liposuction to the abdominal area is more appropriate in cases of younger patients with firm, taut abdominal skin whose main problem is extra fat. In these cases, skin reliably shrinks over the liposucked area and a great cosmetic result can be obtained. Remember that this is only a guideline. The ultimate decision as to which procedure(s) is best for you should be made during a private consultation with a qualified surgeon. Who is a Candidate for a Tummy Tuck? A tummy tuck can benefit individuals with the following features of the abdominal area: (1) excessive, loose, sagging skin (2) stretch marks, such as after pregnancy (3) excess fat on the abdomen (4) a rounded tummy that would benefit from flattening How is a Tummy Tuck Done? A tummy tuck involves multiple surgical steps, each designed to enhance the cosmetic appearance and feel of your abdominal area. The tummy tuck starts by making an incision low down on the abdominal wall. Dr. Backstein places this incision as low down as possible so that it is generally not detectable in a bathing suit or a bikini. Depending on your body structure, fully hiding the incision scar may not be feasible. Following the initial incision, a tummy tuck will involve plication (firm tightening) of the muscle layer, excision and removal of as much excess skin and fat as possible, and placement of the umbilicus (belly button) into an anatomically pleasing location on the abdominal wall. Dr. Backstein includes liposuction of the upper abdominal area and love handles as part of the tummy tuck procedure. Tummy Tuck Cosmetic Surgery Scars. There are two scars that are left by a tummy tuck. These are a horizontal scar placed low down above the pubic area and a circular scar carefully placed around the belly button. Both of these scars are absolutely needed if a tummy tuck is to be done properly and effectively. Any procedure that attempts to avoid these scars will always compromise the result of the surgery in terms of tightening, flattening, and overall abdominal beauty. Scars in general are dynamic. This means that scars go through phases during which the visibility of the scar changes from more to less. During the first two months after a tummy tuck or liposuction, scars will usually have a certain amount of redness to them. This is called the inflammatory phase of wound healing. Following this, for up to a full year, the scars will fade more and more. It is important to note that healing of surgical incisions is very much an individual trait much like hair colour or skin tone. People will heal incisions and form scars differently even when undergoing the exact same surgery done by the same surgeon. As a rule, patients are so thrilled and excited by the dramatic flattening of their abdomens and the psychological lift that this provides that tummy tuck scars are quickly overlooked and ignored. Tummy Tuck Recovery. How Much Pain Will I Have? Following a tummy tuck, patients describe a major feeling of tightness around the abdomen. The discomfort is described as an intense muscle ache similar to the feeling after an aggressive abdominal workout. Dr. Backstein feels that the best tummy tucks will cause a certain amount of post operative discomfort. This is related to the extent of tightening that the surgeon has achieved. If a tummy tuck doesn't hurt at all, the abdomen was likely not tightened adequately. Swelling and bruising is always seen after a tummy tuck or liposuction. Dr. Backstein always provides supplemental liposuction to the upper abdominal area and love handles and bruising will be seen in these areas. Do I Need To Stay Overnight? Most patients are able to leave the hospital on the evening of the surgical day. Arrangements can always be made for patients to stay overnight if so desired. Although straining, heavy lifting and bending should be avoided, tummy tuck patients must start minimal walking and leg exercises the day of the surgery. Lying in bed for hours at a time is dangerous and must be avoided to minimize the risk of blood clots. When going to sleep, a couple of pillows under the knees and behind the head will act to ease the tension on the surgical incision and will help relieve discomfort. When Can I Return To Work? Patients with jobs that require significant physical activity including bending, lifting, or quick movement will need about 4 weeks off before being able to return to full duties comfortably. Those patients with jobs not demanding physical activity can return to work after 2 weeks. When Can I Work Out? Light work outs involving exercises that do not strain the surgical incision or the abdominal muscles can begin at 2-3 weeks. This includes brisk walking or stationary bike riding. Heavier work outs including abdominal crunches, sit-ups and running should not be attempted for about 1 month. Do I Need to Wear a Special Garment? Yes, tummy tuck patients should wear a compressive corset provided by Dr. Backstein for the first 3-4 weeks post plastic surgery. Complications Associated with Tummy Tucks. Significant complications following a tummy tuck are rare. This is very much related to the fact that a tummy tuck is a superficial cosmetic surgery focusing on the skin and fat and upper muscle layers and not involving major or vital organs. All potential tummy tuck complications will be reviewed with you in detail by Dr. Backstein during your initial consultation. These include: anesthesia side effects and complications infections post-operative bleeding incision separation blood clots slow healing areas Tummy Tuck: The Only Cure For Stretch Marks. One thing is abundantly clear about stretch marks and that is that absolutely no cream or topical ointments exist to remove them. Stretch marks are scars that occur within the substance of the skin when it is exposed to excessive stretching or shearing force. The abdominal area develops stretch marks during pregnancy due to the stretching of the skin by the growing fetus in the womb. Just as no cream exists to erase scars on the skin, none exists to eliminate stretch marks either although there are many products on the market that claim to do so. A tummy tuck will remove about 90% of stretch marks from the abdominal wall. As a rule of thumb, all the stretch marks below the level of the belly button will be removed with the large piece of skin and fat that is discarded during the tummy tuck surgery. Moreover, the stretch marks that are above the belly button get pulled far down on the abdomen, just above the pubic area as part of the tummy tuck procedure. This means that about 90% of your stretch marks are removed completely and the rest shift to a much less visible area. It truly is fair to say that tummy tuck surgery is the only cure for abdominal stretch marks. The Effects of Pregnancy On Tummy Tuck Surgery. It is all too clear that pregnancy induces unwanted changes in the abdominal area that often lead people to seeking surgical improvement. These pregnancy-induced changes include general weight gain, looseness and laxity of abdominal skin, and of course, stretch marks. A tummy tuck operation is the very best surgical procedure to dramatically improve all of the above mentioned changes of the abdominal region. Unfortunately, much of the improvement achieved through a tummy tuck can, at least in part, be diminished by the effects of subsequent pregnancy. It is important to remember that our bodies are dynamic and constantly changing. The beneficial effects of tummy tuck surgery are not "carved in stone", but need to be maintained. Pregnancy after a tummy tuck will lead to generalized weight gain, and stretching and distension of the abdominal wall as the baby grows in the womb. This will cause some degree of skin laxity and stretch marks similar to that present prior to the tummy tuck surgery. Your tummy area will, however, still look better than it would have had you never undergone tummy tuck surgery. Exercise and Diet: Maintaining The Results of Your Cosmetic Surgery. The human body is dynamic and always in a state of change. No surgical procedure exists to reshape, recontour or tighten a body region that is absolutely permanent. The results of a tummy tuck and liposuction need to be maintained. A healthy lifestyle must be followed after surgery to maintain the dramatic flattening and tightness of the abdominal region that a tummy tuck or liposuction provides. Poor diet and sedentary lifestyle will, over time cause weight gain and skin stretching after tummy tuck surgery. Happily, the vast majority of patients find that after a tummy tuck or liposuction, they feel so good both mentally and physically that excercise and healthy eating become a welcome part of their post surgical lifestyle. The Dating Double Standard Why Many Men Have No Shot At Love

By Christine Akiteng The more years I work as a dating coach, the more I feel frustrated about the double standards in our dating world. I can clearly see the double standards because I was raised in a whole lot different environment. Its not a perfect world, there are cultural and economic imbalances but trust me, men-women relationships are much more balanced and amicable - and lasting. Personally, I believe that this double standard is the reason why dating is a battle field of the sexes and relationships between men and women are so messed up. As it stands today, the tables are tilted against men. In the Western world (and it's catching up all over the world), women are this all perfect superior helpless creatures badly oppressed by evil, cruel and heartless men. I am not saying that all men are victims , there are some really , cruel and heartless men out there and Ive met some of them (still gives me the creeps) but this article is based on my experience as a dating coach. It could be biased because most of my clients are men, but I think research (and the real world) can back me up on this one. It seems that everything men do is wrong and when women do the same thing its okay. For example a man who says he prefers skinny, petite blondes over a BBW is called names like superficial, shallow and immature; focused on the womens body and sees them as sex objects. But we never really think of women who prefer taller guys (at least 5'10''or taller) with six pack abs and hard gluts as superficial, shallow and immature. Let alone those women who'll only date millionaires. Another example is when a 50 year woman dates a guy 15 years her junior she is considered empowered and changing how people perceive relationships - and she appears on Oprah's show to boast about it. Her younger guy on the other hand is looked on with suspicious askance i.e. someone looking for a mother-figure. But when a 50 year man dates a woman 15 years his junior he is exploiting her. He goes on Jerry Springer's Show to boast about it! Whether it's who should make the first move, who should ask for a date or who should pay for the bill, the formal distance of detachment and dissociation in the dating dynamics makes it virtually impossible to move from first eye-contact to sexual intimacy. The irony is that this double standards are not just affecting men, they are affecting women too, may be even much more so. Just read the kind of dating advice from men for men and you will not miss the bitterness and get back at them undertones. I read some of the advice and can't help but feel deep sadness. This advice from men who mostly have been ignored, despised, dismissed and hurt by women and now found away to "get even" and are training other men to get their revenge on women. Basically they've declared "war" against women. But where does this leave men who do not want revenge but just want to be loved by a good women? men who want to settle down and raise a loving family? The many emails I receive are from men whove distanced themselves from being challenged and stretched. They want love not war but are afraid to take risks and instead chose to protect their vulnerability at all costs. In short, they have allowed fear to direct their search for love. As long as we (both men and women) prefer to remain immersed in this double standard, we filter every trace of love out of our perceptions, interactions and relationships. You can master all the dating, flirting and seduction techniques and tricks in the known world but as long as you allow your frustration, stress, pride, anger, fear, guilt, shame, etc to direct your search for love, you are actually asking the only thing in the universe that doesn't know what love is, to find it for you. Talk about letting the inmates run the asylum! If you are a man or woman looking to truly fall in love, the first place you must go is inside yourself, how you view the opposite sex. Ask yourself these questionsWhere do my attitudes, assumptions, and judgments come from? What are my self-destructive ways of thinking and relating? Do I have the capacity to respond from a place that is connected to something beyond emotional reactivity (frustration, stress, pride, judgmental attitude, etc.), and emotional wounds (anger, fear, guilt, shame, etc)? Once you have identified your self-destructive patterns, start changing them. By asking these probing questions and changing how you view the opposite sex, you will eventually become more aware of your own way of relating and be able to focus all your efforts in a personally significant way that not only makes you attractive to the opposite sex but draws love to you. The Anti-Marketer: Sitting Around Talking About Marketing Vs. Actually Marketing

By Dina Giolitto There's a marketing criminal on the loose, and I like to call him the Anti-Marketer. Why? Because the more he talks about what a great marketer he is, the less he convinces people of this fact and the more sales he loses. Are YOU the Anti-Marketer? Let's hope not. Take a look at the Top Five "Marketing But Not Marketing" offenses.. and then be sure to stear clear of these self-sabotaging marketer behaviors! Offense 1. Writing an article that serves no practical purpose to the reader. What types of articles "don't help?" Ones that are too generic. Every piece of advice you offer your reader should be accompanied by explicit "how-to" instructions. Don't just say, "Try a newsletter template." Instead tell your reader, "Constant Contact offers an easy-to-learn newsletter template that will simplify the process of mailing out your ezine each month." Offense 2. No follow-through on the plan you made. How many times have you run around talking about a great plan you had going, but then never crafted that plan? "I'm going to write a book. I'm going to fix my sales letter." Sure, we're all guilty of this from time to time... but the key word here is guilty. As soon as the "plan" flies from your lips you need to spring into action and make it come alive. If you don't, people will start to realize that you don't stick to your commitments. That's NO way to convey a professional attitude. Offense 3. Your marketing overview is many pages longer than your output. Heck yes, it's important to set goals and map out a strategy. But if you spend 80% of your time in the planning stages and 20% in the output phase, this is a real problem! It's the reason you're scratching your head going, "Why doesn't the marketing work?" Uhh, because you HAVE NO marketing! Just pick ONE of the many projects you brainstormed, and write out a ten-step plan to kick it into action. THEN, when you have concrete proof of your ability, you are fully encouraged to shout about it to the world! Offense 4. Not fixing all the little problems. It goes without saying that an internet marketer has a full plate all the time. But those little things that are sabotaging your success should be jotted down in a fix-it list and tackled one by one whenever you have a "free" moment. Example: "My blog gets great traffic but no one who reads it ever signs up to become an ezine subscriber of mine." Solution: crank up the marketing. Add a "call to action" statement to every blog post you create: "Get Your Free Marketing Inspiration!" Sign up for the Wordfeeder.com Newsletter at the bottom of the Wordfeeder.com homepage and you'll receive your FREE 25-page E-Book Chock Full of Marketing Magic. Offense 5. Sprinkling the online world with your "cotton candy" comments. People love to comment on others' websites, blogs and such. But think about this: why are you on the internet? To convey yourself as an intelligent human being, and to get new clients. If 90% of your typical comments sound like, "Great idea, Joe" guess who's getting the credibility boost? JOE is! Do not be afraid to speak your mind, share an idea, or invite people to look at what you have to offer. This is what marketing is about after all. Okay, so are we clear on the Five "Marketing But Not Marketing" offenses? Good, now let's correct where we have gone astray and put some extra effort into being the stellar sellers that we were meant to be! Copyright 2005 Dina Giolitto. All rights reserved. Dora the Explorer Cake- The Sweetest Thing in the Celebration

By Low Jeremy The sweetest and the most special thing for a childs birthday party is the luscious cake True that there can be plenty of presents but the center of attention for all the visitors is the catching and colorful cake placed at the middle of the banquet. In other words, if there is one factor that you should put much effort and priority into it is the choice of the birthday cake. The character of Dora the Explorer is one of the ideal themes for a birthday cake. This will certainly catch the attention of every child who will have a chance to attend the party. They will utter Dora, thats my favorite! while seeing a big smile glued on their faces. According to most of the party coordinators, it is better to choose a birthday cake design that follows a cartoon character pattern. More than the taste is the shape and color of the cake that will become the childs favorite. Below are some of the reasons for choosing Dora the Explorers birthday cake: 1. Doras cake has immense attraction for the kids. This is the character suited for all times and ages. Cinderella or pirate Cakes are already common. Sometimes, the kids also look for something new and right now Dora is the most famous. Once the kids saw the cake placed on the table, they can have fun in talking about it with their peers. At least, the celebration will be more interesting on their part because of Dora. 2. Doras cake is meaningful. Children love the character of Dora because of her unending quests and adventures. The bottom line for all her adventure is to render help to her needy friends as well as animals. It is apparent because for each adventure is the coupled challenge that they need to pass through. Unless they will surpass the level, they cannot be able to reach their goal. 3. Doras cake is decorated well. Cake decorators based their design on a particular scene of Doras exploration. This is generally done to the top and the sides of the cake. It is more advisable to decorate the cake in accordance with the favorite color of the celebrator. In the same manner, the table where the cake should be placed must also be decorated suitably to keep a harmonious ambiance. 4. Doras cake is affordable. Of course, the price of the cake varies on the volume and design. It will cost you more if you will request for numerous accentuations that will be designed on the cake. So far, parents find the value of the cake affordable and it meets every pockets needs. 5. Doras cake is the childrens choice. This can be the last but the best reason for choosing Dora the Explorer cake. If you want to confirm this claim, you can ask around from a group of kids on the type of cake they mostly prefer. The cake sellers also prove this because of the increasing demand for Doras cake. Make the birthday of your child extra special. Besides the idea of buying a piece of cake from the stores, you can also create your own version of Doras cake. Check on the recipe found in the Internet and scramble your own flavored Dora cake. Taste the fun. Taste Doras adventure and make your kid the happiest on her birthday. This content is provided by Low Jeremy and may be used only in its entirety with all links included. Relationship Coach Provides A Path To Successful Marriage

By Glenn Cohen Terry and Jimmy had already gone through their churchs program to save their marriage, and had already filed and signed divorce papers when Jimmy wanted to try one more thing -- Relationship Coaching Why would someone like Jimmy want to try Relationship Coaching? Glenn Cohen, of I-TO-WE in Charleston explains it like this. When people make the life-altering decision to follow a career path, there is a built-in structure. People who want to become accountants, for example, make a commitment to study books and other materials to gain awareness of the intricacies of their field. They then find a job and receive a manual to learn the specific skills. Finally, they are trained in the techniques to be successful accountants. For another life-altering decision, marriage, there is no path, though, so Cohen provides one. As a relationship coach, he teaches clients to gain awareness of themselves and their relationships dynamics. They then learn the skills essential for success in all areas of their relationships. Finally, they practice the techniques to give them the best chance for success in those relationships. Jimmy and Terry traveled down Cohens path. Glenn gave us real hands-on, nuts-and-bolts skills to use for communication; we desperately needed these tools, Terry says. After working with him for a few months, it seemed like our relationship just might have a chance after all. It turns out that they reconciled and went on a second honeymoon. Cohen claims that if more couples work through his program, the divorce rate would definitely shrink. Cohen is the founder of I-TO-WE Relationship Coaching, based in Charleston. In his private practice, he coaches couples and individuals, both locally and from around the country via telephone. He also presents lectures, seminars, and workshops for religious groups, corporations, and the general public. Walking on Egg Shells !

By Dorothy Lafrinere Walking on egg shells! Has anyone ever told you, that's how they feel around you? If they have, it's a huge red flag and one that should not be ignored. It needs to be dealt with immediately. Relationships are a tough challenging part of our lives. Especially when dealing with matters of the heart. As truly good as they make you feel, they can in turn tear you apart from the inside in a heartbeat. When the red flags start to rise up, that's when your relationship is crying out for help. You need to address it, as if a baby was crying out to you. When someone says they feel like they are walking on egg shells, what is that telling you? It's telling you : that they can no longer be themselves in your presence. that they fear your reaction whenever they speak. that they are stuck, that they cannot move in either direction, for fear of upsetting you. It is also telling you that they need to stop this feeling that is tearing them apart. Many of us are guilty for causing these prison bars that surround our loved ones. We do not even realize that our own fears are doing this to them. We are so caught up in ourselves that we are blind to the world that we have created for them. Through our own fears we hear what they say in all the wrong languages. We interpret them through our weaknesses and turn what they say all upside down. Some of us react irrationally, forcing our partner to either take cover and hide or even worse become irrational themselves. This is when we both become deaf and blind. When the relationship war begins, there are no winners, only victims. What once was love, kisses and smiles has turned into an ugly vicious battle ground of snarls, hate, and searching for the lowest hit we can aim for. Wow, how does this happen so fast? We as humans are notorious for ruining so many very good things out of pure bad habits. No one wants to lose or be the one saying, "I am sorry" every five minutes, nor should a real relationship become a win/lose situation either. Who wants to walk on egg shells? Then again, no one wants to have to defend their every breathe to someone they thought loved them unconditionally and are committed to. Walking on egg shells sucks! If we cannot be ourselves with the one we love, then who can we be that with? This is not to say that a person should disrespect the other. When you know that something troubles the other person or makes them feel truly uncomfortable, it should go without saying that it is just not done. That is true respect. Why would you want to do something to hurt your best friend or even make your loved one feel out of place? In new relationships it does take time to get things organized as in any new situation. Moving into a new house, a new job, having a baby, or even planning a trip, we have to reorganize to accommodate our now lives. Committing to another person is just the beginning of the book. It is just the title. Now you have to write the story and yes, make a few corrections along the way on both parts, but the trick is to constantly compare each others notes. Remember this: staying on the same page is what your relationship is all about. When we make a commitment to another person through love, we are taking on a responsibility to share our love and life with that person. We are silently telling them that we are now going to take in consideration their feelings as well as our own. Your once single-self life has now become a two-self life. This does not mean that you stop breathing and living. It just means that you are now sharing your life with this chosen person. It opens up a whole new world of respect. Remember also that you cannot gain respect if you do not offer respect. Life becomes a definite two-way street when two hearts are involved. There are also two minds working in this relationship now; two minds that are of opposite genders, two minds that will collide now and then. This is not a bad thing. We need to have differences to add spice to our lives. Be very careful of starting the "Poor Me", habit. This is another relationship red flag to watch for. Remember, walking on egg shells? If one partner becomes so caught up in their own worries and fails to share this with their partner, it will sneak in between you both and begin to build a very strong wall of negative habits. If you have read any of my other articles, you will know these negative habits well, jealousy, mistrust, low self-esteem and total loneliness. When your partner begins to feel they are slipping away from you, grab on and do not for a minute take that red flag for granted. Listen hard to their worries and love them more, not necessarily better. Just show more of your love. If they keep slipping away, then there is either nothing left to save or they need help outside of your relationship. It is so important to know your partner. Only then can you realize when they are in trouble. Do not allow your relationship to become the wallpaper in your house. No one wants to be a wallflower. No one with any self-respect that is. Another great phrase I hear all the time is, "Door Mat syndrome". Oh this is a very bad thing for couples to allow to take hold of their relationship. In many cases one partner has taken hold of it and falls into a control habit. This is something that plagues many relationships. When does one partner become the owner? I will use that word because it shows possession and control. This happens because it can. Some one has allowed this ownership to take place. STOP allowing this, please. A partnership, relationship, commitment, whatever you want to call it, is an EQUAL understanding of respect and love. There are no owners and no bosses. No one is above the other. Man should respect woman and vice-verse. This is a must in order to make a relationship strong enough to not allow negative habits any control. When there are no negative habits, there is no walking on eggshells. How much more simpler can it get. We are an intelligent species, so let us act intelligent when we decide to commit to another person. This is two lives we are dealing with here, not just another Hollywood movie. We are all going to age and all of us are going to notice our body parts going south. Guess what, no one is above that law. When you have found a true love, and are willing to invest your life with that person, please do not allow material things or negative fantasy ideals to come between you. It really is not worth it. When you feel unsure of something ,or you feel negative emotions taking control of your mind, reach out to your partner. Don't walk on egg shells. Do not turn it into a war against your partner. Use all of your love to fight the negative relationship habits. Love is worth it. We all have our good and bad days. Some have more than others. So when it's a good day, then make it a really good day. Those are always remembered the longest. Don't walk on egg shells. We have to love ourselves first, then and only then can we love another! Tell each other often what you saw in each other, what you see now. Being reminded why we are "The One" helps us to act that way. -Toni Sciarra Poynter Dorothy Lafrinere Owner/Operator Website- http://www.womensselfesteem.com Weblog- http://www.justblogme.com/Dorothy Forum- http://womenselfesteem.proboards29.com email- dorothy@womensselfesteem.com Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Dorothy_Lafrinere http://EzineArticles.com/?Walking-on-Egg-Shells-!&id=82670 father daughter incest portal incest free story incest stories free incest father daughter

7 Ways to Lose Weight Faster on the Body for Life Diet

By Ian Mason If you're starting your 12 week Body for Life challenge you may already be pumped and ready to start dropping pounds (and inches). Try the 7 tips below to help maximize the results of your program. Use a weight loss supplement. I'm not talking a diet pill here, but rather a supplement designed to help curb your appetite during non-essential times. This will keep you from eating anytime outside of your six meals. I recommend Phentramin because of its proven track record. Do cardio in the morning. This sets the pace for your body's metabolism for the rest of the day. This also has the added benefit of reducing your body's fat stores from then night before, helping reduce any caloric surplus. Vary your workout. Avoid doing the same type of exercises for more than a month or so. Your body will adapt to the exercise pattern and the exercises themselves will become less effective. Varying your routine will cause your body to rebuild itself continually as it will not be able to predict which workout is coming next- this means more muscle gain and more fat loss. Clench your fist. When you are selecting portion sizes, clenching your first when choosing items that are high in energy is a good way to provide the nutrition you need while reducing your caloric intake. Obviously your hand is smaller in physical size when clenched and your portion size will reduce with it. Stay regular. Make sure that you eat well and eat often. Keep your meals consistent and don't cheat. The Body for Life program is designed for your long term goals, as well as substantial physical and mental changes after only 12 weeks. Your attitude is half of your victory (or defeat) and will be the deciding factor as to whether you achieve your goals or not. Exercise according to plan. It doesn't matter if you're feeling tired, sluggish, or just too darn lazy to commit to your workout- do it anyway! You need to properly estimate the levels of physical exertion that you are required to achieve in order to manifest your results. Cheating yourself out of a proper workout is a great way to sabotage your success. Lastly, stay in the game. Don't get demoralized if you haven't lost more than a few pounds a couple of weeks into it. Remember that you are making extensive changes to your body's routine as well as its metabolism. It will need some time to adjust itself accordingly.Quitting your workout or diet too soon will cause any results that you may have had to simple fade as your body sinks back into its former routine. This program can be challenging, but that doesn't mean that it's not worth it! Thousands of people have re-defined their lives (and their abs) following this program and there's no reason that you shouldn't be able to do the same. Remember that it's only three months, and three months is a very small chunk of your life. Is Laser Hair Removal Right for You?

By John Mancini In today's society where the way a person looks is so important, the misplacement of body or facial hair can be a liability. The problem is not whether the hair needs to be removed, but rather what is the best method to accomplish this goal. Laser hair removal is growing popularity, mostly because it is a semi-permanent solution. Many people prefer laser hair removal because they see dramatic results from having it done. Results such as a 50% reduction in hair after four months, with only one treatment. With the normal patient needing a treatment only every six to twelve months. Most people also like the fact that when the hair grows back, it is usually sparser and of a finer texture. While the Nd:YAG method is still in use, there is a newer, less time-consuming laser hair removal method available. This method uses pulses rather than a continuous laser light beam to warm up the follicles. The newer method also removes the need for waxing of the skin as well as for the application of the carbon-based lotion. The use of the pulse allows the follicle to be heated more quickly while exposing the skin to lesser amounts of damaging heat. One of the reasons that lasers are becoming so popular is that this system is a relatively painless form of hair removal, especially when compared to the more traditional forms of body hair removal. The laser hair removal system also provides excellent outcomes in the face, underarm area and neck, resulting in a 60-80% success rate within two to three visits. While laser hair removal treatments offer great results that last, it is fairly expensive, especially when compared to hair removal methods that need to be done on a more frequent basis. For example, to remove facial hair, the series of treatments that would be needed will cost approximately $1,000, depending upon where you live. More involved procedures, such as men's backs or legs will be around $3,000 for the series of treatments. Laser hair removal provides effects that are similar to electrolysis, but are much more painless. There are several types of laser systems that have been approved for use in hair removal, while they all work a little differently; the premise is the same for all of them, by removing the hair at the follicle. If you feel that laser hair removal is the right choice for you, it is important to research the facility that will be performing the procedure before you have even one treatment done. Make sure that you check for complaints from the Better Business Bureau (BBB) in your area and ask if the technicians on staff are licensed and if there is a doctor or nurse on staff in case of an emergency. Be Fashionable All Year Round!

By Giang Nguyen What you wear shows who you are. Your fashion style reflects your own personality. To know what to wear in suitable occasions is the most important. Your hair style, your way of make-up are other issues you have to concern about when creating your style. You should think carefully before doing a new hair. Does it suit you or not? Is the colour of your dyed hair going with your complexion? Your hair style will go with you for a long time so dont hesitate to go to a good and well known hairdresser. You can create a unique look by the way you wear make-up. However, like choosing clothes, you have to be aware of which occasions and which kinds of places you are going to. Of course its no use and very ridiculous if you go to a funeral wearing make-up like going to the bar. Moreover, cosmetics are all chemical. Choose them carefully and dont wear too much make-up, especially when you have oil or sensitive skin. You dont have to wear like a movie star with expensive and glamorous clothes. You will look great in clothes which suit your figure and your complexion. Wear whatever promotes the best of your figure. However, if you are thin or extra-weighed, you shouldnt wear too tight or too loose clothes. In addition, if there are some body features that you dont like, paying more attention to what you wear can improve the situation. For example, you can make your legs look smaller by wearing dark-colour hose and avoid wearing patterned ones. Choosing accessories is also a topic of concerns. If you dont want to pay a great deal for these stuffs, buy neutral-colour accessories because they go with all clothes and make-up. Black and brown are most popular chosen colours for accessories. However, dont use too much of these colours if you are young, try to mix them with other colours as well. There are great and informative resources on the internet which can help you enhance your style and beauty. Fly Fishing: The Basics

By Sarah Freeland Even though fly-fishing is a natural actyou could, if you wanted to, fly fish with just your arm and a line, but you tire quicklyit helps to have a little gear to make your experience a bit more rewarding. In fly fishing, the rod is simply an extension of your arm. Fly fishing requires a different rod for each different purpose. Youll choose a 3-weight rod to cast a 3-weight line, and so forth; the bigger the number, the heavier the line that rod will cast. A large part of your success in playing and landing a fish will depend on you, but a large part will also depend on your reel. The fly fishing reel holds the line and the backing, which fills the spool and allows the line to be retrieved faster. Reel bodies are pressed metal, assembled, or milled. What you want is a reel that will allow a smooth drag. Good maintenancecleaning and oiling your reelwill help it last decades. Before you head out to shop for waders, do your homework. Figure outwhat will you use the waders for, only fishing, or also for hunting duck and geese? Whats the temperature of the water youll be in, when you have the waders on? Answers to these questions can help you choose between neoprene, Gore-Tex, canvas, nylon, or rubber waders. Make sure they fit. And spend as much time thinking about the boots youll wear, as you did the waders youll wear with them. And dont forget your good manners, when you go out fly fishing. If you find someone fishing, that section of waters theirswhether theyre active, stationary, or resting. Always yield to the angler who has a fish on their line. Leave gates the way you found them, try not to make tracks, and dont litter. Obey all the state and local fishing laws.
